Composite floor

Composite floor

The need to limit the increase of weight on the wooden floor, which is the result of the mixed wood-concrete solution, has resulted in the success of the wood-wood technique in which the composite part is made of a double (or treble, based on the specific need) crossed boarding. This is particularly suitable for historical buildings because it does not increase the load on the walls.

A second boarding is glued to the first one, the two boardings being perpendicular. If a third boarding needs to be added it must also be perpendicular to the second boarding. Boarding gluing is made with RESICOL 100 W paste epoxy compound, which is specific for structural gluing of wood.
